Here is a great last minute craft idea for decorating just about any part of your house. Plus, this cute little pumpkin would be good to place on the back of the toilet seat, just in case you run out.
-Take a roll of toilet paper and give a little smoosh.
-Take a Fat Quarter and start stuffing it into the center all the way around.
-Secure with a twig pushed into the middle and add ribbon to decorate.
These toilet paper pumpkins can be left out until Thanksgiving too. We made this cute craft at MOPS, you can find more toilet paper pumpkins here.
Where our classically eclectic, crafty, nature loving homeschool tries to stay on track...

Best Ever (3 Ingredient) Pumpkin Cake
This is not a typo....3 ingredients....will make you a super moist and delicious Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cake. This recipe will be at the top your list, trust me on this one! Here is my Halloween gift to all my lovely followers, I really appreciate you!
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cake:
1 Box Spice Cake Mix
1 15 oz can Pumpkin
3/4 cup Water
Add Chocolate Chips is desired...who doesn't?
Bake 350 degrees in a 9x13 cake pan for about 25 minutes. I also like making muffins with this recipe, it's sticky moist!
I would love to hear what you think of the cake. I was so desperate to make this recipe last week, but I ran out of spice cake mix. In a pinch I used a yellow cake mix and added pumpkin pie spice! Enjoy.

It's Pumpkin Time!
It's my favorite time of year around here! We made pumpkin playdough and used little twigs and evergreen to decorate our little balls of fun. You can find the recipe here from an earlier post. We added orange food coloring, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
I found a good lesson plan on pumpkin life cycles over at Montessori Mom that went along nicely with our book.
We read The Pumpkin Book, an educational story about the life cycle and origins of pumpkins, by Gail Gibbons. You can also find a fun paper plate life cycle activity at My Montessori Journey.
It's also nice when you can find a garden or pumpkin patch where the pumpkins are still attached to the vine to get the full effect of the cycle.
