Beach Mobile
We just spend a wonderful long weekend camping at the beach. We had perfect weather, ate yummy smores, and enjoyed playing in the water (well, the girls did)! Here is a fun little beach project made with a piece of drift wood and shells. All that was left to do was string the shells and enjoy.
Just search for shells with the hole already in them. This mobile looks lovely hanging from a window.

Paint a Bag
Since our weather here as been better than GREAT we are making beach bags. You can buy some cheap light weight canvas bags from any craft store and use fabric paint to decorate. They do take all day to dry so just be aware of that before you use them.
Enjoy your day!

No training wheels!
It's been a big week for for Olive...she can ride her bike with no training wheel! She asked us to them off and then as soon as we did, she asked us to put them back on again. I told her she should try and with big old tears she reluctantly did. The first day we practiced on the street and the second day we went to the beach. Can you imagine a more perfect place to learn to ride your bike?
Jem played in the sand and looked on as her big sis learned to ride.
I must say it was one of those perfect days....the kind that make you feel blessed for everything in your life.

I love the beach in January
The cold breeze on your face, freezing water chilling your toes, and just the right amount of sun to warm up the tip of your nose....ahh, just perfect. The girls and I spent a lovely hour eating lunch and running around at the beach. Olive and Jem started making a little sand house so we could live at the beach forever.
A sisterly moment like this is hard to capture, especially when Jem says, "you make me feel so happy," because Olive told her that she was the best little sister in the whole wide world.
