- My name is Karen and I am a stay at home Mom employed by Olive 6, Jem 3, a little one on the way, and married to my Buzz Lightyear for more than a decade. In my past life I was a television reporter. In this life, I am known as Mama, Honey, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, Teacher, BFF, a short-order chef, and when the mood hits a freelance writer.
- I created Sippy Cup Central to keep me on track and to stay honest about our homeschooling adventures. I started homeschooling Olive because I did not want to send her to a full-day Kindergarten. We take homeschooling a year at a time, but in my heart I know that this is the best way to educate my children. We tend to use the Classical approach, but also incorporate Montessori, and Charlotte Mason in our homeschool. I am not exactly sure how you would classify us, but it's working, and that's what matters.
