Pot Holders For A Cause
Olive has become a pot holder making machine. Some of you may remember when she received her loom for her 5th birthday in January. A few month ago she learned how to finished the edges of the pot holders all by herself and she now makes about three a day.
She plans to sell her pot holders at our holiday MOPS bazaar and will donate $1 for each pot holder sold to St. Jude Children's Hosptial. Her goal is to make and sell 40 pot holders for $2 a piece. I am very proud of her for making this decision.
These are some common uses for pot holders at our house: a coaster, a barbie blanket, and a handle holder.
Olive says that "potholders are the perfect stocking stuffer"!
oo love that she wants to donate half of her money! Those were some of my favorite things to make as a kid!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea for Olive to donate half her earnings. She is learning early to think of others. I use mine every day as a coaster.
ReplyDeleteLove, Carolyn
What a fabulous idea!! I bought one for my daughter for Christmas. Now if I could remember where I hid it!
ReplyDeleteAnd how awesome that she wants to donate her money! What a great little girl you have!
